CMS Version 9.0.11 Release Notes

Introduction

CMS 9.0.11 includes the new 2016 shipping rates for UPS and FedEx. See below for details.

USPS also has a rate change coming January 17th, 2016. The USPS rate update for CMS (v10.0.3) will be available January 13th, 2016 and will also include these UPS and FedEx rates.

End of Life Announcement - WinXP and Server 2003
Microsoft has announced they will no longer provide support and updates for Windows XP. Windows Server 2003 is also slated for End of Life on July 14th, 2015.

This is a fairly critical situation. XP and Server 2003 will no longer receive security patches which, aside from the obvious security threats, also means that you cannot be PCI compliant.

We have already started to see some ramifications to our clients running on these unsupported operating systems. PCI is dictating a shift away from using SSL and TLS 1.0 since they are now considered to be insecure methods of connection. As our partners start to follow this dictate and remove any support for those older forms of secure connection, you will need to be on a current operating system that includes support for TLS 1.1 or later. (Windows XP and Server 2003 do not support them)

PCI Compliance - CMS 9.0 has been successfully validated against the PA-DSS 1.2 specification by Coalfire Systems. Software changes that could affect your compliance are only included in major CMS versions (e.g. 9.0, 10.0) or minor versions (e.g. 9.1, 9.2) and never in releases (e.g. 9.0.5, 9.0.6) or builds (e.g. 9.0.6.159, 9.0.6.160). Integrations - Shipping integrations from the CMS Manifest with Endicia's Dazzle software and UPS Worldship XML auto imports have both been updated to support passing package dimensions.

No changes to our other CMS integrations in 9.0.11. All will continue to work as they had including CommerceV3, UPS Worldship keyed imports, FedEx Ship Manager, ShipRush, MPS, TransFirst, and Authorize.net.

1. UPS 2016 Rates
   
   All surcharges, rates, zones, and delivery area zips in CMS have been updated or confirmed current for 2016. No notable service changes or fees from UPS for 2106 other than the ~%5 rate increase. See UPS's site for additional information.
