CMS Version 9.0.9 Release Notes
Introduction
CMS 9.0.9 includes the new 2015 shipping rates for UPS and FedEx along with a few enhancements and bug fixes. USPS rate changes were incorporated last September and, while included in this update, do not change for 2015. See below for details.

End of Life Announcements
Microsoft has announced they will no longer provide support and updates for Windows XP after April 8th, 2014. This is a fairly critical situation. XP will no longer receive security patches after that date which, aside from the obvious security threats, also means that you cannot be PCI compliant.
PCI Compliance - CMS 9.0 has been successfully validated against the PA-DSS 1.2 specification by Coalfire Systems. Software changes that could affect your compliance are only included in major CMS versions (e.g. 9.0, 10.0) or minor versions (e.g. 9.1, 9.2) and never in releases (e.g. 9.0.5, 9.0.6) or builds (e.g. 9.0.6.159, 9.0.6.160). Integrations - Shipping integrations from the CMS Manifest with Endicia's Dazzle software and UPS Worldship XML auto imports have both been updated to support passing package dimensions.
No changes to our other CMS integrations in 9.0.9. All will continue to work as they had including CommerceV3, UPS Worldship keyed imports, FedEx Ship Manager, ShipRush, MPS, TransFirst, and Authorize.net.

Package Dimensions
In 2015 UPS and FedEx will be rating packages based on their weight or dimensional (dim) weight, whichever is greater. While this has always been true for air shipments, it is now true for ground shipments and may have a significant impact on your shipping costs. You can read more about dimensional weighting and find links to other pertinent articles in our August 2014 newsletter.
To support dimensional rating of packages, we've added fields to the CMS Manifest screen for you to enter the height (H), width (W), and Length (L) in inches. The dimensions you add here will be passed to Worldship or Dazzle for proper dimensional rating of your packages.
Tip: The dimension values entered here should be rounded to the nearest whole number (no need to enter fractions of an inch nor always round up, like is required for weights.)
This change only affects packages being shipped from the CMS Manifest. If you are doing keyed imports with FedEx Ship Manager, Worldship, or other shipping solution, your package dimensions will be entered there instead.

Windows 8 and Server 2012
The Sybase database drivers used by CMS have been updated to improve support for Windows 8.x and Server 2012. Workstation updates are recommended for Windows 8.x machines but not required for other versions of Windows. -
